Jumpstart to Coach

Program for women in the early stages of launching or deepening their coaching practice

Shift from Coaching Training to Becoming a Coach (For Women)

Three-month program for women career, leadership and/or life coaches in the early stages of launching or deepening their coaching practice. For those who have completed at least some formal coaching training; and are planning to or within the first year of offering coaching and/or complimentary services in any capacity externally.

The Essence of Jumpstart to Coach

You don’t have to wait until you figure it all out before you launch or progress as a coach. You don’t have to try to piece everything together on your own. You don’t have to follow a specific method.

You can design your own path to becoming a coach now. You can build clarity, alignment and momentum to create a coaching practice that reflects your vision of success.

Becoming a coach involves an identity shift from student to coach. Yet, so much business-related advice misses this aspect, only emphasizing set-up logistics and marketing.

This program brings an integrated approach with four main parts:

  • Strengthen your inner foundation of who you are as a coach

  • Elevate the quality of the client coaching experience

  • Take an experimentation approach

  • Design your thriving business and roadmap

It begins with developing a strong inner foundation of who you are as a coach, how you can help people and how to move forward with courage. From there, you’ll explore elevating the client experience, integrating your training and, if applicable, the ICF core competencies.

Next, you’ll be empowered to take an experimentation approach to build momentum now and learn from what what’s worked and what hasn’t. The program will culminate with designing the groundwork for a thriving business and a flexible, realistic roadmap—that feels authentic, meaningful and energizing to you.

You’ll be supported throughout, with guidance, frameworks, and the group environment. The ICF competency concepts will be woven throughout the program.

Who the program is for: Women who want to integrate coaching to their work and business in a multitude of ways: side hustle, part-time, coaching as one of multiple services, full-time, ACC ICF portfolio path, and more.

What’s included:

  • Seven live online 90-minute sessions, every other week

  • Live sessions include a mix of teaching on the topic, questions, practice, peer-support, and laser coaching

  • 30-minute individual one-on-one intentions call before the program begin

  • Reflection worksheets and preliminary templates on each topic to complete in between sessions

  • Limited to 8 women, to support depth, connection and personalized guidance

Schedule:

  • 30-minute Intentions call to occur between August 17-27

  • Program runs August 31 through November 23rd

  • Live sessions on every other Monday at 1-2:30 PT, 2-3:30 MT, 3-4:30 CT & 4-5:30 ET

  • Time commitment: plan for about 2 hours every week, outside of coaching clients

The Jumpstart to Coach Journey

Module 1: Big picture vision for becoming a coach

Intention setting, connect to your vision, inner wisdom and values for becoming a coach. Start developing a long-term meaningful goal to pursue based on what success means to you.

Module 2: Build courage when facing inner barriers

Understand and shift how you relate to inner barriers so they no longer keep you stuck or limit your progress. Examples: visibility blocks, marketing & sales challenges, self-doubt, fear, unsure of where to start or focus, etc. Strengthen courage to take intentional action, even if it feels uncomfortable.

Module 3: Shape the core of your coaching practice

Start or progress on the big buckets of the elements of your business:

  1. Clarify what you uniquely bring as a coach: your coaching perspective, story, strengths and gifts

  2. Explore what your business is about: who you serve, how you can help people, your coaching and complimentary offerings

  3. Build momentum for early or next clients (free or paying)

  4. Optional additional focus: Integrate ICF competencies into your coaching

Module 4: Elevate the coaching experience

Enhance the coaching experience based on the client perspective. Translate your coaching training into how you can be of service to others. Step back to view the entire coaching engagement from the first to middle to closing sessions, based on short or long term engagements. Integrate the ICF core competencies into how you coach.

Module 5: Take an experimentation approach

Plan and implement one experiment to connect with your audience, in alignment with your coaching business vision. Have a framework to use for future experiments. Continue developing upon module three.

Module 6: Design the groundwork for a thriving business

Get clear on where to start or continue to sustainably grow your business in a way that feels authentic, meaningful and energizing. Explore a relationship and connection-based approach to marketing, networking and sharing your work with others.

Module 7: Develop your roadmap for meaningful goal pursuit

Develop your first phase of a flexible, realistic, roadmap for meaningful goal pursuit. Focus on what’s most important for building an aligned coaching practice. Revisit what you learned from your experiment. Program integration.

“I started coaching with Rachael when I was first beginning to build my business. The biggest change I’ve seen is taking excited, undirected energy and focusing it onto an intentional purposeful path. In the beginning, I felt like I was going to explode; I had no way of containing my vision, it was wearing me out. Coaching with Rachael has helped me through the initial hurdles I was facing internally like imposter syndrome, fear and self-doubt. I gained the confidence and courage to resume my progress, which had stalled for many months. I have since successfully launched my first programs and gotten my first clients. Coaching has helped me get clearer on the path of what my business is going to look like. I have had many breakthroughs and successes due to Rachael’s approach to coaching.” -Kara

About Rachael Gaibel

Life & Work Design Coach; Leadership and Wellbeing Coach and Consultant

I have been helping people bring their goals, dreams and visions to life for over twenty years. While this has taken multiple different forms, I am passionate about how I can partner with people so they can design the life and work they envision.

Before becoming an entrepreneur, I spent a decade working in leadership and organizational development. In 2018, after becoming a mother, I had a deep desire to recover from burnout and realign what would be next. Seven years ago, I started my consulting business because I saw it as a path to create a life and career based on what mattered to me.

As a consultant, I’ve done both direct work in companies and supported multiple executive and leadership coaching and consulting firms on projects, curriculum development and thought leadership. Working with other firms has given me a behind the scenes look at how they operate. It also helped me uncover my own dream to coach, with a particular interest in women’s empowerment for entrepreneurs.

Three years ago, I began incorporating coaching into my business, first with life & work design coaching, later adding leadership coaching. I’ve had both short and long-term coaching clients and am ICF ACC certified.

This program is what I wished existed when I completing my coaching certification. I personally experienced and saw from peers how hard it can be to start coaching and piece everything together by ourselves right after a training program. Through coaching newer coaches one-on-one, I noticed key themes, which led to this creating this program.

Elements that inform this program:

I’ve built upon concepts I’ve learned from my training and expertise, translating them into what will support others to find their path to becoming a coach. This program specifically brings a blend of concepts my coaching certifications, more than a decade of focus on personal growth and wellbeing, MBA, authentic content marketing & business building, and a change management certification. Coaching training specifics:

  • Positive Psychology Coach Certification, which is about creating positive change and meaningful goal pursuit

  • Playing Big Facilitator’s training, which is about being more loyal to your dreams than your fears (women focused)

  • The Coaching Way, which is about using a coaching approach to help people thrive

The story behind the initial spark for the program:

This idea for this program originally came out of an early career of mine. When I was an assistant manager for Vector Marketing, a direct sales organization, I mentored a group of new sales representatives for the months after they completed training. Through having a structure and an encouraging group environment, people’s work as independent contractors thrived.

I’ve realized: we aren’t meant to finish a training program and go out to piece everything together to implement on our own. We are meant to have coaching and guidance to help us create our own path and a supportive community to practice with and learn & grow from.
